Intake Manifold Spacer for the Kawasaki JS440 and JS550 piston port motor. This spacer is what makes it possible to run a modern SBN-style Mikuni carburetor on an early piston port engine.
What it does
The SBN-series Mikuni (SBN38, SBN44, SBN46) is the go-to performance carb for 440/550 builds. It flows better than the stock carb and has a built-in fuel pump on the back of the carb body, which means no separate pulse-driven pump plumbing.
The catch: that integrated fuel pump sticks out further than the stock carb. Bolt an SBN directly to a stock 44mm piston port intake manifold and the pump won't clear. The K550-SPCR sits between the carb and the intake, moving the carb back far enough for the pump to fit. Without it, the swap doesn't physically go together.
Use this if you're
- Upgrading from the stock carb to a Mikuni SBN
- Running a piston port 440 or 550 with the stock 44mm intake manifold
- Building a freestyle, freeride, or vintage race motor and want a modern carb
Fitment
- Kawasaki JS440 piston port
- Kawasaki JS550 piston port
- Requires stock 44mm intake manifold
